Bodenheim

Bodenheim is one of the oldest and largest wine-growing villages in Rheinhessen. First marks of settlement reach back to 2200 before Christ. The Celts have left spoors since 600 before Christ and the romans settled here from 100 b.Chr. to nearly 500 after Christ..

Bodenheim has an ideal viticultural climate. The vineyards are bovered by western mountain ranges, what means slight rainfalls, warm summers and mild winters.

In Bodenheim we cultivate wine in different sites. A famous one is the Bodenheimer Burgweg. This specific site has a perfect micro-climate for burgundy grapes. The terroir is stamped by sandy clay which provides a fast warming of the soil. Perfect conditions for pinot noir.
